It's Time to Turn the Page.

After nearly 12 years of helping families in school communities, in churches, and even in their own homes, it’s time to turn a page in our work as Parents Who Fight. Don’t worry, we’re not done fighting… just taking it to a different arena.

As our boys have entered adulthood, we’ve begun to focus our efforts in a space we are incredibly passionate about: THE CHURCH.

We’ve been working with churches through PWF since the very beginning in 2015, but it was always in the context of helping PARENTS. However, the resources we have been creating over the past couple of years have all naturally veered toward helping ministry leaders. We started gathering people in our living room and on Zoom to seek wisdom about changing our name or focus. After two years of processes and praying, we have a clear signal from God to move forward.

Preserve the Church

We are rebranding Parents Who Fight. Our new ministry initiative is: Preserve The Church.  Our mission is to equip the Body of Christ to protect spiritual health and generational discipleship from the corrosive effects of addictive technology.

Addictive technology. It’s a killer. It ravages kids, families, brains, attention spans, futures… and it’s threatening the health and longevity of the Church.

Preserve The Church will focus on three demographics with very important needs regarding addictive technology.

  • MINISTRY LEADERS: Discover tech-wise values backed by scripture to build collective action in your church as you protect discipleship & spiritual health.

  • YOUNG ADULTS: Build tech-healthy habits that foster spiritual maturity, strengthen relationships, reclaim focus, and deepen your hunger for God.

  • PARENTS: Learn how to fight for your family by preserving genuine connection, protecting online access, and discipling your kids into God's truth.

We’ve already built resources with each of these groups in mind, and more are on the way.

  • Enlisted - a downloadable e-book in PDF form to help children’s ministry leaders guide parents around the topic of pornography.

  • Next Gen Tech Reset — a how-to book for student ministry leaders and pastoral teams to re-evaluate ministry tech protocols that put spiritual health at the center. This book offers a robust toolkit to give leaders a headstart on creating a plan.

  • Next Gen Tech Reset Video — a long-form video discussion with the authors of Next Gen Tech Reset, as they discuss how technology is impacting spiritual health of the rising generation and strategies for ministry leaders to go a different way. Trailer available, full-length episode coming soon.

  • The Unplugged Devotional — a simple 30-day devotional perfect for busy young adults who are longing for rest from digital devices and who benefit from the support of a structured digital fast they can do with others.

  • Technology & Spiritual Health — a forthcoming free online course with 10 modules to walk ministry leaders and young adults through an in-depth look at the impact of addictive technology on the brain, on discipleship, and the ripple effect into the future of the Church. Available: September 2026

In the months ahead, we’ll finish the steps needed to secure our 501(c)3 status, and we’ll be building a team of leaders who care about this issue, from Gen Z to Gen X and beyond. We’ll also be looking for partners who want to sow into the work ahead so we can reach more churches and families. (Our son Judah will help us head up that initiative; he’s part of the first fruit of what God began back in 2015).

We understand not everyone who has followed our organization will make this journey with us, and that’s okay. We’re grateful for many well-resourced organizations helping parents with online safety, and if that’s what you’re looking for, we have no doubt you’ll find what you need.

We’re going to the Church. We are fighting for a generation to really KNOW JESUS, who will actively refuse to be captured by addictive technology. We’re fighting for Gen Z to rise up and parent their own kids with a resolve that real connection is found in healthy community and in intimacy with God.
